My Favorite Dota 2 Hero! Invoker!

My ultimato!

They cal me Inni the Invoker and when I say "they" I mean Me, I, Myself, Call me Inni the invoker!
Don't laugh at me, it's going to be a thing!
Soon everyone in the world will refer to me as that guy Inni, he's an invoker!

Well whatever, here is the deets of Invoker for you brainy Dota players!
Invoker is a Ranged, Carry, Nuker, Initiator, Escape.
He's one of the most fun Hero's to play and not really a novice choice.

Quas:
Allows manipulation of ice elements and grants a permanent strength bonus. Each Quas instance provides increased health regeneration.

Wex:
Allows manipulation of storm elements and grants a permanent agility bonus. Each Wex instance provides increased attack speed and movement speed.

Exort:
Allows manipulation of fire elements and grants a permanent intelligence bonus. Each Exort instance provides increased attack damage.

And of course!
Invoke:
Combines the properties of the elements currently being manipulated, creating a new spell at the Invoker's disposal. Click the help button to see the list of possible spells. Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter.

Now that you know what you have to work with, you probably want to know what you can do with it! I'm getting there just chill out! FFS.

Cold Snap! Snap that bitch!

Invoker draws the heat from an enemy, chilling them to their very core for a duration based on the level of Quas. The enemy will take damage and be briefly frozen. Further damage taken in this state will freeze the enemy again, dealing bonus damage. The enemy can only be frozen so often, but the freeze cooldown decreases based on the level of Quas.

Ghost Walk! you be strollin' like a boss ghost!

Invoker manipulates the ice and electrical energies around him, rendering his body invisible. The elemental imbalance created as a consequence slows nearby enemies based on the level of Quas, and slows Invoker as well based on the level of Wex.

Tornado! Americans are especially scared of this one!

Unleashes a fast moving tornado that picks up enemy units in its path, suspending them helplessly in the air shortly before allowing them to plummet to their doom. Travels further based on the level of Wex. Holds enemies in the air for a duration based on the level of Quas. Deals base damage plus added damage based on levels in Wex.

EMP! Emp it up!

Invoker builds up a charge of electromagnetic energy at a targeted location which automatically detonates after %delay% seconds. The detonation covers an area, draining mana based on the level of Wex. Deals damage for each point of mana drained. If EMP drains mana from an enemy hero, Invoker gains 50% of the mana drained.

Alacrity! Ain't nothin' be mo' scary than a fast Inni!

Invoker infuses an ally with an immense surge of energy, increasing their attack speed based on the level of Wex and their damage based on the level of Exort.

Chaos Meteor! It's just Awesome!

Invoker pulls a flaming meteor from space onto the targeted location. Upon landing, the meteor rolls forward, constantly dealing damage based on the level of Exort, and rolling further based on the level of Wex. Units hit by the meteor will also be set on fire for a short time, receiving additional damage based on the level of Exort.

Sun Strike! Strike 'em down!

Sends a catastrophic ray of fierce energy from the sun at any targeted location, incinerating all enemies standing beneath it once it reaches the earth. Deals damage based on the level of Exort, however this damage is spread evenly over all enemies hit.

Forge Spirit! Forge 'em homies! They help you out!

Invoker forges a spirit embodying the strength of fire and fortitude of ice. Damage, health, and armor are based on the level of Exort while attack range, mana, and duration are based on the level of Quas. The elemental's scorching attack is capable of melting the armor of enemy heroes. If both Quas and Exort are level 4 or higher, Invoker will create two spirits instead of one.

Ice Wall! If you're chillin' make 'em be chillin'!

Generates a wall of solid ice directly in front of Invoker for a duration based on the level of Quas. The bitter cold emanating from it greatly slows nearby enemies based on the level of Quas and deals damage each second based on the level of Exort.

Deafening Blast! Definitely Blast 'em!

Invoker unleashes a mighty sonic wave in front of him, dealing damage to any enemy unit it collides with based on the level of Exort. The sheer impact from the blast is enough to knock those enemy units back for a duration based on the level of Quas, then disarm their attacks for a duration based on the level of Wex

Inni's BIO:
In its earliest, and some would say most potent form, magic was primarily the art of memory. It required no technology, no wands or appurtenances other than the mind of the magician. All the trappings of ritual were merely mnemonic devices, meant to allow the practitioner to recall in rich detail the specific mental formula that unlocked spell's power. The greatest mages in those days were the ones blessed with the greatest memories, and yet so complex were the invocations that all wizards were forced to specialize. The most devoted might hope in a lifetime to have adequate recollection of three spells--four at most. Ordinary wizards were content to know two, and it was not uncommon for a village mage to know only one--with even that requiring him to consult grimoires as an aid against forgetfulness on the rare occasions when he might be called to use it. But among these early practitioners there was one exception, a genius of vast intellect and prodigious memory who came to be known as the Invoker. In his youth, the precocious wizard mastered not four, not five, not even seven incantations: He could command no fewer than ten spells, and cast them instantly. Many more he learned but found useless, and would practice once then purge from his mind forever, to make room for more practical invocations. One such spell was the Sempiternal Cantrap--a longevity spell of such power that those who cast it in the world's first days are among us still (unless they have been crushed to atoms). Most of these quasi-immortals live quietly, afraid to admit their secret: But Invoker is not one to keep his gifts hidden. He is ancient, learned beyond all others, and his mind somehow still has space to contain an immense sense of his own worth...as well as the Invocations with which he amuses himself through the long slow twilight of the world's dying days.

Always remember if you play Invoker, you NEED a scepter!

The Rekindling Soul Update

The long awaited...

Metamorphosis of Shadow Fiend arrives at last. In addition to a completely new look for his form and effects, the update also contains the Demon Eater Arcana. This Arcana provides a fiery re imagining of Shadow Fiend, complete with new effects, sounds, animations, icons, and an altered voice. We also thought it’d be fun to allow you to show off your skill at triple-razing enemies to the ground, so with the Arcana equipped you’ll be see a fiery celebration of your skill. Finally, if you buy the Demon Eater set before October 31st, it will come with an ‘Exalted’ quality.

Yet Shadow Fiend isn't the only one receiving special treatment – this update also contains the much-anticipated 6.82 balance update, which introduces an arsenal of additions and tweaks affecting every part of the game. Major systems have been overhauled, and heroes have been retooled and reworked. Bloodseeker and Phantom Lancer both now sport new abilities, you’ll find a new rune in the river, a new item in the shop – the list goes on and on. And for the first time in years, the Dota 2 map itself has changed, with significant layout changes to Roshan’s lair, base fountains, and more.

If you've never watched Dota 2 played live, you’re missing out. The sword swings, the ancient explodes, and the crowd roars. It’s amazing, but don’t take our word for it. There are two upcoming events for you to check out: if you’re near New York City, check out ESL One in Madison Square Garden on October 9th and 10th. Or, if you’ll be in Yinchuan, China next month, the World Cyber Arena will be holding their LAN finals at the Yinchuan International Convention Centre from October 2nd through the 5th.

One more thing: we on the Dota 2 team have a number of updates in the works right now that we’re really excited about, some for the rest of this year, and a big update for early next year. But we’re pretty sure we won’t be able to make enough progress on the larger update if we put it down to work on Diretide – so we've decided that we’re not going to ship a Diretide event this year. We know that last year we weren't clear enough in our communication about this, so this year we wanted to be up front about it early. Next year will bring monumental changes to Dota 2, and we’re confident that when you've seen what we've been working on, you’ll agree it was worth it.

Oh My Gawsh

Problems

My Editing software expired!
I have like 4 projects standing still now! 1 of which is actually a legit gig for a major company!

I really need to start planning my shit, I always end up taking longer due to bad planning!

Dota 2 - Facts as a Support Player

Facts - Support Player

If you play support in Dota 2, you've probably had your own share of flame and blame about how horribly you play your role. There are a lot of ways that a support player can ? off the rest of the team, but has anyone wondered what ? es off a support player?

1. People who don’t look at the warded map:

Wards are very important because they light up the map. With proper placement, you can see the enemy’s movements, which can help set up your own ganks or avoid enemy ganks. I’m sure you've heard players complaining about how their supports don’t ward. However, I would also like to point out that that warding will only work if you look at the mini map. So if I warded near the rune area near the river, I expect you to see an enemy walking from the river, into the jungle, and most probably towards your lane to kill you. Warding costs gold. Looking at the map costs you nothing, so in case you aren't looking then why are you not looking!?

2. People who run out of healing range:

One of the duties of the support is to keep the core heroes alive and safe. For example, if you’re injured while laning with an Enchantress or a Witch Doctor and they cast Nature’s Attendance or Voo-Doo Restoration, that means they’re healing you. Unless you have a good reason, you should NOT leave the healing radius. You can only imagine how frustrating it is when you’re trying to heal a hero and he runs away from you.

3. People who go back and DIE after being saved :

Even more frustrating than the previous guy, this one actually dies. In cases when someone has to inevitably die, between the carry and the support, it’s better that the latter goes to his death. So if your support jumps in there and tries to save your behind, don’t let his death be in vain. Go escape and let your support die so you can live, farm, and lay waste to the enemy team later. It’s the same concept of losing the battle to win the war. It’s not stupid and even Na’Vi does it.

4. People who can’t distinguish initiation from harassment :

Sometimes, supports stay with the carry during the laning phase so they’re sure the carry is protected and gets farm. Oftentimes, they have to attack the enemy heroes to push them back. This is called harassment, not initiation. The difference between the two is that the previous is meant to zone out and create some space, while the latter is aiming for a kill. If the support is trying to create space for you, the best thing you can do is use that space to farm. It doesn’t always mean for you to jump at the enemy and lose HP, gold, and exp in the process or worse,
die.

5. People who don’t understand creep pulling (and has guts to flame) :

Supports usually get their farm from assists or jungling. Creep pulling not only helps the support to get farm, but it also keeps the lane from being pushed so far and denies gold and experience from the enemy. Since the enemy creeps are much closer to your own tower, it makes it safer for the carry to farm.

Now I speak from experience when I say that some carriers do not know what pulling is and I get flamed because they ‘don’t have creeps in their lane’ (Exact words: “WTF are you doing taking my creeps, Vengeful!?”). And instead of safely farming behind our tower, they then proceed to leave the lane, enter the jungle, kill the neutral creeps being attacked by our creeps. This, in turn, denies me the mediocre gold and experience I can get outside lane while letting the enemy creeps hit the tower and die ‘unfarmed’ from tower aggro. Can you not!?

6. People who build item duplicates whose effects don’t stack :

This is often a communication problem between two supports, but can also happen to cores. There are items that the team only needs one of because their effects don’t stack. Examples include Ring of Basilius, Mekansm, and Pipe. It is very important to notify the team if you’re going for said item or to check if someone else is making it to avoid wasting gold. Remember, supports don’t have the luxury to getting farm so if your pub team ends up having a Viper, a Windrunner, and a Chen, make it clear who’s going to build the Mekansm. Viper can usually farm it faster, but don’t assume that he will.

7. People who are oblivious of what casting delay means :

Playing a Lina or a Leshrac support can be tricky if you’re the only one with the stun. Why? Because their stuns have casting animations and delays that are rather easy to avoid. Aside from casting the skill on the ground in advance, timing and positioning are very important. So if you’re a carry laning with these kinds of heroes, don’t flame the player if the casting wasn’t instant. It’s not their fault if you don’t know that attempting to stun a hasted enemy in broad daylight is most probably a bad idea.

Be a Better Dota2 Player

Some Guidelines

If:

-You don't have 5 man lobby to play on pub
-You in high MM
-Getting stressed out easily
-Flaming in chat

What you will need:

-Determination
-Confidence
-Knowledge (At least every single skill that every hero has, their weakness, strength, advanced tricks
-PATIENCE

Spiritually (when game starts or before) :

-Keep telling yourself "I am the greatest Dota 2 player" "I can do it"
-Get yourself together
-Hold your mouse so tight to your hand like if someone was to pull the cable
-Sit properly on your chair and stare at the screen like a sweaty nerd not missing a single thing

When picking starts :

-I usually always random since the different is 3 last hits gives you more challenge if you get counter picked
-Counter pick if you want

When everyone picked and its 1:00 before the game starts :

-Be the mind king: you see Lifestealer on their team, you buy 4 sentries to block camps to delay his items for 3 m
you see that you might be going hard lane take a sentry to block the camp that always gets
pulled
-Look through every single hero, remember all their skills, their mana cost, their range, their weakness
-Look on your hero see what you can do with it see what items you should get (eg: They have Rikki buy sentries/dust at the start, they have jug or SB or Phantom Lancer try to rush the Ghost Scepter as soon as possible)
-If your supports don't buy courier, stop spamming chat with report, and flame just buy it yourself 150 gold ones again 3 last hits be the "better" of everyone else.
-Items at the start take a massive role they help you win early game, so regen is essential.
-Try to lane your heroes right, command team in chat, say what you think. If you got 2 heroes that desperately need level 6 let one go mid let one solo lane.
-If you said mid but someone else is following you just go back on free lane be the "better" of everyone else, instead of wasting time, xp, gold on mid lane.

When you are on lane:

-Try to block creeps obviously
-First thing you should do is look through heroes like so quick to see through what items they got
-you see 1 observer obviously 2nd was used get sentry to counter ward
-you see that they rushed boots and no regen harass them, make them fall back, or use courier

Mid game:

-Try to save your team mates and yourself from ganks and your team mates being out of position don't just spam "Careful" wheel no one knows who dafaq you saying it to, use chat and say their name/ their hero say what you thinking is incoming, ping(don't spam it twice is enough)
-Preferable make icons of heroes on mini map larger through console (dota_minimap_hero_size 1200) so its obvious for you when someone is missing on lanes and you don't have to stupidly blame your team mates for not saying "ss" when you were out of position.
-Use team chat when one of these things happen. Roshan gets killed = add 10 min on top of it and put that time number in chat!!!. Glyph gets used add 5 min on top of that and put that number in chat and say glyph, helping your team finding perfect time until that time to push towers.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE NOW - CHAT & Team Mates

-Use chat ONLY for "missing commands, leading your team, suggestions"
-No flame whatever happens, whatever combo they use however many skills they use or ults on you, no flame to your team or enemy. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU START TYPING YOUR MESSAGE
-Enemy team in some matches will try to provoke you by using chat in time window when they killed you ONLY trying to make you to say something back and there it begins. DON'T DO IT. Their effect and result they expecting is for you to say something back, insult them, but if you keep quite don't say anything at all, it makes them disappointed as they didn't achieve what they wanted.
-Ones again be on top of everyone be that "best" player
-Be kind to your team mates suggest them things, mistakes happen flame is not needed.

In time window when you die and on cool down:

-Don't over thing and start stressing, and loosing confidence. Just think for about 10 seconds
-Why did it happen?
-What went wrong?
-What could of you done if time was re winded
-What should you do next time to avoid this
-For god sake don't blame your team mates
-Watch your loss replays if you want but really you should know your mistakes straight away after the incident happened, you should just know them what you did wrong its your target to keep improving!

Dota 2 in general, Match Making system is disappointing it is, but lets not blame it, or your team mates, or counter picking, or "over powered" heroes (everyone has weakness` therefore there aren't any "op heroes".
Don't blame combos because you can escape and do something about it, be more careful

As a player conclusion

DON'T GET DELUDED ABOUT WINS LOSSES, WIN RATIO!!!!! It DOESN'T MATTER. Forget about everything when playing, forget that "you must win"

What matters is:

-You improving
-Its hardly your team mates fault
-Doesn't matter if your team feeds you should have map awareness from getting ganked from fed players!!!
-If you don't get a positive score in a match (more deaths than kills) or support (more deaths than assist) you are doing something wrong!!!!! IMPROVE KEEP IMPROVING BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST YOU ARE THE GREATEST

At the end of the game whoever wins look at your deaths, kills, assist the mistakes you made, how you contributed to team.
Think that way : "got a positive score, hardly died at all in fact in a 30 min game, i guess i was careful avoiding team fights due to team feeding."
"played very very well, carried my team, massive contributed in team fights and chat leading my team to victory no matter if team mates made mistakes everyone can make a comeback, although i made few mistakes of being out of position and as a carry i really need to improve my cs its dreadful ill go pick SF not gonna buy any items and play 50 min with bots to improve cs"
"played bloody horrible, absolutely awful started feeding started making mistakes, massive improvement needed"

Its not fully a team game Dota 2 isn't its about you improving as an individual when playing alone in public, don't blame your team mates, blame yourself and improve. Try to be the best because you can be the best and you will be the best

You can do it, respect enemy, respect your team, respect yourself, motivate yourself, improve yourself and be the BEST.

I used to flame extreme amount of times, don't know if its same for everyone else but for me it usually happens when i exceed the game hours, or get addicted don't let that get the best of you, use this guide for future you will be more calm, more respectful, a better player in general and you will start to enjoy Dota 2 games as ever.

Good Luck & Have Fun

-Don't blame your team
-Don't look who won the match look at your personal stats only
-Find your mistakes. improve there's always something
-Get more knowledge, watch professional TV, streams
-Don't flame and ruin your reputation.

OpiniGer on the Ebola Virus

Ebola ?

Well Shit...

So as if Hiv and Aids weren't terrorising the world enough some countries now have to worry about Ebola.
It seems there are to many people and we pissed off nature, mother nature.

Mother Nature is being a Bitch

I seriously think we caused this, think about it.
We have polluted this earth, we have destroyed jungles and forests!
We have also populated to the point where there are just too many people.

Mother Nature is now fed up and has begun her retaliation!

Never Fear

I don't think we should stress too much though, well the countries that haven't been affected yet. Obviously the people already dealing with it good luck to you and I wish you all the best.

Back to not getting to stressed out:
I believe the scientists are smart and capable enough to find a cure or prevention soon enough, I also strongly believe God will not put us through something for no reason.

Ranting but not Knowing...

If you find this post to be lacking research and hard facts I do apologize that you my friend have stumbled upon OpiniGer.
OpiniGer is not about facts or research but simply my Opinion about current and not so current events!

All in All...

I hope the Ebola epidemic doesn't last to long and that it has minimal lasting effects on the countries and people involved!

What To Do on Youtube

Struggling with Ideas for Youtube

As the day progresses I seem to wonder the most about what to do for my next video, should I focus on a new game? An old game? something totally different?

My mind has all these great ideas 24/7 but as soon as I start recording or writing on a script my mind somehow drains life, goes empty... Maybe I have a worm in my brain..

I might need a partner, someone different from me but still the same.
Maybe I should just search my inner mind and find a new personality, develop a small case of schizophrenia, nothing hardcore, not like smeagle from LotR.
I'll try and be like Tobuscus and Jim Carry but obviously keep my own ways.

I think that's my main problem, having too many ideas but not actually doing any of them.

Oh well, I'll get there soon enough!

I started my Youtube channel a few months ago, not really knowing what to do or how to do it.
I decided to wing it, I chose a subject, guess you know the subject. Yes, it's gaming and mostly Dota2.
I straight up believe you should not be doing Youtube for the money as so far my research has shown not many people actually make money and those that do are really really creative.
Tobuscus- amaze-balls! that guy can make anything funny and interesting!
PewDiePie on the other hand is just a guy playing games, sort of like what I'm doing, LOL.
Bottom line, make it about something that really interests you!

Views!

OH MY GAWSS! Look At Them Views!
It's like a game, screw ClashofClans, CandyCrush or any Facebook game this is fun! Watching your views grow, being able to see where in the world you are being viewed!
I obviously have more views in South Africa as Google (owner of Youtube) makes it more visible to South Africans as I am a South African. If you are an American your views in America would be more. On that note: America is the country that I have the second most views in!

Keeping it fresh!

I have nothing to say here other than follow your own instincts, it's hard being creative sometimes and it's not for everyone - I seriously struggle!

Share, Share and Share!

To get views you have to share, you have to become Twitter famous, this means not being famous at all but people follow your tweets, you have to be a "youtuber" socializing , asking and answering questions!
Personally I think Facebook is overcrowded and although I do post there from time to time it doesn't seem to be worth the effort!
Also, Blogging, it helps.

Did this help at all?

For those of you who could understand what I was yappin' about! Awesome - I do realize most won't have any idea what I'm on about!

OpiniGer out! Keep it classy you youtubeing fools!

Achievement Unlocked!

Oh Yeah!

So I finally figured out how to do this video cross over thing!

I'll be honest; I have no idea what the correct term is and I don't really care!
Point is! I can do it now!

If you don't get the joke, I'm kinda sorry... I realize I have a strange sense of humor.

The Worst Thing to Happen During a Dota2 Game

Wi-Fi Fuck-Out!

Honestly SA, get your shit together!
It's suppose to be a 10 mb line and then this happens?!

While already losing the match it's not in  y nature to just give up and honestly we really did have a chance, a small chance but a chance none the less!
Then it happened, my wifi cut out, I really really really hate it!

The First blood Fail

Not Getting First blood Really Sucks!

When I play mid solo I really feel obligated to get first blood, especially when I play Pudge!
I was really close!

I promise to try harder next time!
